Self Storage FAQs
Have questions about self storage, or don’t know where to begin. Don’t worry! This FAQ will hopefully help you get answers to the most pressing questions you might have about self-storage.
How do I reserve a storage unit?
What type of storage unit do I need?
There are many things that can influence this decision. If you plan on storing a lot of heavy items, such as furniture, we recommend a storage unit with the convenience of drive-up loading. If you are storing things that you will rarely visit, such as holiday decorations, then maybe an upper-level indoor storage unit best suits your needs.
What documentation do I need to reserve a storage unit?
All you will need to reserve a unit is a valid drivers license or photo ID and to complete our tenant information form.
Do I need my own lock?
We sell locks at the front desk for your convenience or you can bring your own.
How far in advance can I reserve a storage unit?
We accept reservations 5 days in advance for the convenience of planning.

Am I tied to a long term contract for storage unit rental?
No, at Midtown Office and Storage you will never have to sign a term length for your storage. We are proud to offer month-to-month leasing. When you no longer need your storage unit, just let the office know to begin the move-out process.
Please be advised that we do not pro rate/offer partial refunds for early/late move-outs. All of our self-storage units are under month-to-month agreements, so if you intend to vacate a storage unit you must send an email notification to firstname.lastname@example.org at least 5 days before the first of the month you wish to vacate.
Do I have to give notice to vacate my unit?
Yes. If you intend to vacate a storage unit you must send an email notification to email@example.com at least 5 days before the first of the month. Storage units must be left broom swept and with the unit door rolled up.
